Female, Age: 37 now married with two children ages 8 and 12. Over-educated in a few computer and engineering fields. Currently a housewife.

I grew up on a small horse farm in Hunt Country Virginia and our farm was part of the Loudoun County Hunt. That means some weekends we had horses chasing foxes all through our fields. That hunt was also one of the two more popular ones with Washington politicians and so forth .. so I think a few famous people chased our foxes at times. When I was small I got mad at not being able to hunt with the adults once and gave my babysitter the slip and went out into the far pastures after them myself (on foot). The hunt was told, and called off while they used the hounds to find me instead. I was teased for the rest of childhood. ;)

The thoroughbreds I grew up with were used in both hunt and racing (many hunters back then started on the track and retired from track to hunter). I recieved my riding foundation from old cavalry types (the ones that were
nice to the horses and MEAN to you!). Though I was small enough to be a jockey (5'1") my knees had some problems and I had some hip issues from a birth defect so I found jumping and dressage to be more comfortable. By the
time I was able to afford to own my own farm and breed (yes I did for awhile) my knees were going badly and competitive jumping was out. I did breed thoroughbred crosses for a few years and some of my babies are doing well in competition now - none ended up racing. I also trained a few horses and had a decent local reputation. My knees and in a chain reaction my back finally went and we sold the farm as I can no longer ride.

My husband is Nicaraguan and his family introduced me to Andalusians. My handle is in honor of an Andalusian stallion I used to own named Ohos Hechiceros.

I'm very camera shy, but this picture was taken of me nine years ago in dressage competition on a small but incredibly game thoroughbred mare. She was an ex-racer so I think its fitting for my SIM photo. :)
